I am trying to fill out my fafsa application but I am under 21 and I turn 21 in about a month. I want to be able to file independently because for some reason that I don't want to discuss I am unable to file under my parents. Is there a way for me to file independently?

  1. No, you cant file independently until you are 24.  You will need to submit your parents information

  2. No, you need to be over 24 to file independently, not 21.

  3. No.  Law says 24 years old or more or married, veteran, and a few others.
