Can I file harassment charges?

Question

I'm 16 and there is a girl who is calling my phone nonstop, threatening me me saying im going to be laying bloody on the side of the road crying for mommy and daddy. and sending my threatening text messages of how she is going to come find my a** and hurt me. I saved all the times she has tried calling and all the text messages onto my phone, is that enough to press charges? or will I have to wait for the worst,, when she shows up at my door or does hurt me?

The best way to take care of this matter is to tell your parents. Then from that step goto the Police Departmet and file a compliant. The "Police" should contact her parents and inform them whats been going on. Keep all the phone call/texts messages on file. Also goto your local cell phone company and get a print out.

It is sufficient in the UK to amount to harassment, as well as possibly misuse of the telecommunications system. Report it to the Police.

i think that you should somehow get something that you can record calls on your phone. the only way that you can report this and that the cop will do something for you is by having proof. if this continues or even now, talk to you parents! and tell someone! goood luck and be careful! also DONT answer your phone anymore unless you have like a cop with you that is listening to your call. and this is verbal harassment!

Contact the local police department and they will handle this!!! Immediatley notify them!

Yes it's called stalking and the cops would be all over her threats.  She's a murderer.

Yes, call the police and tell them that you told her not to call they will call her, if she calls again they will go to her house, a third time and they will arrest her for harrasement in CT. You can also call the phone company and report her they will give you a code to enter if she calls again and will call her and tell her that if she doesnt stop HER service will be disconnected if she continues to call they will shut her service off. you can also call block her calls if she is using 1 phone number. You can absolutly file harassment charges.  Do you know this girl?  If so and you can prove that she is the person harassing you, you may go to the police and file a restraining order.. at that point she may not contact you what so ever.  If she does, then you may take it to the next level which is filing criminal charges against her.  Have your parent take you to the station.

bullies are just cowards but i would suggest you contact the police and present your proff as soon as you read this,  the world is sick of this c**p, we must stop it as soon as we feel it, stinking world if getting sicker by the second. just call the police and tell them your afraid and get the reponding Officers name and badge number. keep records and any other proof my bet is as soon as they knock on her door she will cry like a baby.
