Can I finalize a DVD-R on a different video camera (same model)?

I burrowed a camera and didn't finalize the DVD-R's. I'm wondering if I can finalize the DVD-R's if I bought the exact same model camera, or does it need to be on that camera I used? Is there any other way I can finalize it?
