Can I find a Marine GPS w/puget sound maps included for $300- $400?

I no nothing about them and am looking for one to buy for my son who fishes the puget sound san juan islands. Thanks

Check out the Garmin GPSMAP 76CSX.  I think it has like 24mb of internal memory to load whatever maps you want in there.  It's waterproof to 1 meter and it FLOATS!!  I'm pretty sure it has a color screen too. Check ebay for good deasl.  I have a plain jane 76 with only 8mb of storage, but I use mine for kayaking so the floating part is a plus.  Igave $100 for mine on ebay.

  2. Magellan makes some great GPS units.  Check out their Explorist series - they're $350 to $399.00, and if you use a standard 256 MB SD card, you can download local marine maps.  The download program is an additional $149.00, but it's got details of  every bit of coastline.
