  1. NO.

The inability to tell RED from GREEN is a disqualification both for military academies,  ROTC and OCS/OTC.  See reference #1...

Disqualifying conditions are in addition to the disqualifying conditions listed in the Military Medical Accessions Medical Guide. Unlike medical waivers to join the military, medical waivers for aviation duty are much harder to come by.   See Reference #2.

  2. yes, most of the buttons are red and green... but that can be changed very easily and they will do it... it will make them actually more inspired that you care that much to do it even with the color blindness...

  3. no

  4. Probably not. You have to be able to pass a Class 1 flight physical, and they do test for color blindness. You can check the regs to see if it is waiverable, but I doubt it.

**I am military and since you don't want to  believe anyone...let's try this again. Here is a link saying that you have to pass a Class 1 flight physical to fly: http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/pr...

Here is a link to the requirements to pass a class 1 flight physical. Scroll down to section 4-12, Vision: http://docs.usapa.belvoir.army.mil/jw2/x...

Like I said, they test for color blindness. If you fail, you will have to check with the school to see if it qualifies for a waiver.
