Can I fold high tops (Converse) down [read details]?

Question

I want to get high tops and then fold them down (I'm not talking about the tongue) then use those fat laces (these: http://images.journeys.com/images/products/1_4883_FS.jpg ). Is that possible? I'm not asking if it will look good or not. And what color should I get the Converse in? Black, Green, or Purple (I want a color that will match everything but it won't look boring)? THANKS!! :)

to answer your question, yes you can, i do it all the tiime.

i would get black shoes, and get really cool, vibrant laces from hottopic or somewhere else.
