Can I form a non-profit that promotes other non-profits? Me and my friends like and promote a number of groups

Can I form a non-profit that promotes other non-profits unofficially? Me and my friends like a number of awareness campaigns and grassroots groups and so often promote more than one of them. Most of these groups have volunteers doing the awareness, so we wanted to be a group of volunteers.

I understand the rules of not fundraising under the guise of fundraising for any of the groups we are promoting, but we would like to start a nonprofit to be more organized and promote various good causes.

Anyone know the laws on this and what may be a better group to form?

If you find out let me know i have been trying to form the united white person college fund,but everybody said i cant do that i figure if blacks can we should be able to also..
