ok so I am 19 and have lived with my parents my whole life. I took 1 year of classes at a community college here in NY(24 credits). But this August I want to move to Miami and get my own apartment, I will be paying for the classes myself. I will have to pay out-of-state tuition for Miami Dade College for the first year. ButI plan on transferring to FIU (Florida International University) the year after. So after I live a year on my own paying the lease, tuition and everything else myself can I get in state tuition...I will be 20 at the time. I don't want to just become independent so I can get finnancial aidm because I know they wont let you do that(and with my parents salaries we don't qualify for it), I just want to pay In State tuition after the first year. Is this possible???
