Can I get BT Broadband, if I have a Sky telephone line rental?

Their website seems to suggest no.

Or if I had a BT Landline + Broadband but later decided to switch my landline to Sky, would my BT Broadband cease to work?

i thouoght sky used bt! as in u need a bt line to have a sky phone line!

Sky do not have landlines , they use bt so if you take sky broadband you still have to pay line rental to bt.

Sky broadband uses BT infrastructure for their ADSL. In the earlier days you could use the BT line + modem and receive broadband over satellite, this was the only option if other broadband mediums were unavailable.
