Well actually, I am not driving it.

My husband is the only one currently driving it, but it is my car. My father gave it to me so i didn't buy it.

I just thought I could insure it in the meantime.

  1. no. you have to have a license to buy a car and have it in your name and to have insurance.

  2. I am not able to totally make sure my answer is fit for your situation. It could be useful anyway,it would better you check out yourself here.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  3. Driving without a license is a crime and you could go to jail for it if you get caught a number of times.  I'm assuming you want to insure a car that you are not driving currently.  In that case, you can do it.  Use the phone to get the policy.  They usually ask for the registration card and the payment information.

  4. Nope. Not at all.

  5. Each state might vary. Here, the answer is no. Many years ago my ex went to buy a car, her license was suspended, points, meaning she had no license. She still had possession of her drivers license card, the car was bought on the terms she could show proof of acquired insurance. Insurance companies left and right said no license no insurance. The car lot said no insurance no car, they got the car back and she got her money back.
