I'm going to get my tongue pierced in about 2 hours. I'm planning on starting to drink in a few minutes then going to get my ear pierced while drunk and then drinking more beer when I get hope. I will also be taking a couple Vicodin before I go. Other than the other health issues with the medicine and alcohol combined. Is any of this going to effect my piercing. I'll clean it as soon as I'm done drinking. Think this will be ok?

  1. sounds fine. as for effecting your piercing, it won't hurt as much, and you might not remember it very well.

  2. why would you drink that much?

    jeez.

    you need help.

  3. DONT DO IT!!!~~!~

i got my tongue pierced about 6 weeks ago now n drinking was the WORST thing. i got so devo cos the swelling is unbearable n it gets all infected (im a smoker too!!)

i wish someone told me not to do it! just have lots of ice n slurpies =)

does the job. do NOT drink alcohol cos the ur tongue gets MASSIVE n alki slows healing time

  4. NO! Alcohol affects the healing process of your piercings - it increases swelling and promotes bleeding - now wouldn't it be easier for you to not drink?

You don't need to take Vicodin before you go either - if you can't deal with the pain, don't get it done. You don't want to be impaired whatsoever, it doesn't hurt that badly. Do you want to move your tongue and have a tongue ring off center?

  5. Since it's you and not your piercer celebrating in this instance, shouldn't influence his/her aim at all.  You don't need my advice on health issues and frankly, I stiffen my resolve before I sit for a tat so why not you?
