I bought some clothes today and realized once I got home that I was charged for 5 shirts when I only bought 4. I bought 2 of one kind that were buy one get one for a dollar, but she rang up a 3rd one. They overcharged me $36. I don't think I'll have time to go to the store until Monday. I'm worried they'll try to say that I am trying to scam them but I want my $36 back!!! What do I need to do to prove to them they overcharged me?

  1. Just take you reciept in.First try to find the girl that rang you up .Then go to the manager.Hopefully that will work if not ,make a big scene in front of other customers and complain about thre employee and the service and how you will never shop there again .Believe me that manager will give you your money back so fast ,just to get you out of there.GOODLUCK to you.

  2. It's not a big deal, JCP is all about customer service. If possible I would call the store this weekend to give them a heads up but it doesn't matter either way because they don't hassle you over stuff like that. I worked there several years ago and people would return worn out jeans because they didn't last as long as they wanted and we just had to do the return and smile like we were stupid. The customer is always right to JCP.

  3. JCPenney is about the best at customer service but I would either try to go back immediately or call the store and ask to speak with the department supervisor or a manager.  Have all the items with you when you return so they can sort it out along with the receipt and credit card.  Point out that it would not make sense for you to buy a third one without getting the fourth one for a buck.  If you paid with a Penney's card, there is a chance they may be able to fix the problem over the phone but I doubt it.
