Can I get a dog when I have ashma?

I'm allergic to warm-blooded mammals (I didn't even know that was possible until they told me that) and I REALLY want a dog. Can I get a dog and take Zyrtec?

how can someone be allergic to so many animals i dont think thats possible cause im warm blooded too

Yes. Some allergies to animals aren't serious enough where you can't take medication and have a dog. I would ask your doctor. It should be fine. After all, that's why they give you the medication.

Ask other people with pets to allow you to stay with them to help them take care of their pets so you can see how your body reacts.  Do this for at least a year.  You may be the type that is an excellent baby sitter for dogs.  My mom has extreme asthma and can't have any animals.  Animal shelters need people to help with lonely doggies that need a human touch.  that could be an option for you,  I had to get rid of animals because of my mom's asthma and I used to be angry, but it wasn't her fault.

Are you allergic to pets and pet dander?

I wouldn't see a problem with it unless you are. If you keep the dog clean and bathe it twice a week as well as brush out the fur, you'll be fine.

I think no because its not good for people who have asthma, even cat is not good. It can just irritate you.

There is a site also that tells you can also have dog in your house if you have asthma for immunity but i think i will not take the risk because who knows what will happen. And your doctors told you already about being allergic to animals like dog so better obey your doctors. it will be good for you

Asthma. I wouldn't recomend it. Not becauseof ur asthma but because of your allergy.
