Can I get a faster appointment at the Italian consulate in NY?

Because I need to obtain Italian citizenship through decent before I apply to university in the UK (which I need to do soon), is there any way I could get a faster appointment at the Italian consulate in New York? Do they have any sore spots or any secret ways to get a stand-by appointment?

i know of no faster or secret ways to get an appointment faster .

you must be sure that you have all your papers ready when you get your appointment with the Italian authority .
