Can I get a gift engraved at a Things Remembered store?

I recently purchased a lighter from a shop and would like to get the front of it engraved with a few lines of text. I've heard that the "Things Remembered" store, which can be found in many malls, does personalized engraving. If so, any idea on how much this would cost? And if I can do this even if I didn't purchase the item from the store? Thanks!

They do offer engraving on items that you didn't buy there, and how much it will cost depends on how long and how big it is :o)
