Question:

Can I get a output splitter for my VCR?

I don't know the term so I am using the term output splitter. I am having trouble finding this wire.

First let me explain.

My VCR only has one output "sockets" (red, white, yellow). The wire leads from the output on the VCR to the input on the TV. So whenever I need to transfer a video clip from the VCR to my miniDV tape, I have to remove the wire from the VCR and connect another wire to my video camera, which willl capture the video clip from the VCR. This is a hassle because the back of the VCR is not easily accessible.

Do they sell wires so that I have two sets of output sockets, where one set of output will have wires connecting to the TV and the other socket will reach to the front of the VCR so whenever I need to connect the other device, it is easily accessible?

If not, do they just sell an output extension wires so that it reaches to the front of the VCR?

If they do sell these, what are they called or just give me a link to the wires.

  1. Your looking for a RCA Splitter. Depending on your needs you might need a M/FF or a M/MM (M=male F=Female). You will need three of them one for each color.
