I sent my cousin $30 on July 18th. Today is July 25th and she hasn't gotten it yet. She lives in Virginia and I live in Texas so it should have been there by now. It wasn't cash in the envelope, it was a money order made out to her. I also sent another money order to NY the same day, and it was Received on the 21st. I know that i can get a refund threw the money order company, but they charge $15 to do it. So can I get USPS to refund or reimburse me for their s***w up? Also, according to western union, it hasnt been cashed.

  1. Did you happen to purchase insurance from the USPS on the letter?  If not, you cannot file a claim with them.

Wait and see what happens.  I have received mail from the next city over 2 weeks after it was mailed, and packages from NY to SoCal in 2-3 days.  There's really no rhyme or reason with the USPS : )

  2. usps wont reimburse you.  i would wait a bit longer before contacting western union
