  1. Good luck,a snow flakes chance in h**l even finding a single room in a hostel in a capital city.Just spent some time in the country areas and Cost for a run down room will cost $60 a night. If you came a year ago you would of done it on $60 US a night, but your Dollar is weak as at the moment.

Try www.wotif.com.au for last minute deals.

Some areas you may get a holiday unit or house for around that much if you were to stay a week at a time and it is not peak season.

    Try these sites www.holidayhomesaustralia.com

    www.ozstays.com

    www.TakeABreak.com.au

Also go to real estate agents in the tourist areas, they do holiday rentals and have last minute deals.

  2. Yes, but it will be pretty basic.

  3. What city you going to?  You might not be able to get say a hotel room in Sydney or Melbourne.  But maybe you can get a single room at a backpackers.

  4. You may JUST be able to depending on the city you're planning to stay in. Regional cities may be possible with this price.

  5. Certainly not in the cities, but in the smaller towns you can get a motel room with tea and coffee making facilities and bathroom most would have air con. In the cities you would only get a backpackers accommodation, a few have private rooms. You may get a cabin in a tourist park but the cheaper cabins would not have your own bathroom. If you go for a cabin look at Big 4 or top tourist parks. they are usually very nice.

  6. yes, there are some but sleeping only. no food and all
