I'm running a stock Dunlop D402F on my 21" front wheel. I like to ride this bike properly and am finding the front getting away from me unless it's a real hot day. Please offer genuine help on this one.I know it's not a sports bike,it's a cruiser, it heavy etc etc.

  1. Location location location... Sure you can. Get in touch with your local sport bike or harley shop and ask for compound descriptions. AVON Bridgestone Michelin man they all make multiple compound tires. Any super bike shop can give you a full break down of what to look for, for a little extra sticky-icky...

Be warned though a soft sticky compound destroys very rapidly.

  2. Avon tires are generally a softer compound and stick to the road better. The only downside is they also wear out faster.

  3. Avon Viper.

That's what we fit to all our new builds and to customers bikes.  They work fine on a chop with a 124" TP motor in it!

Vipers aren't cheap, but worth every penny.

  4. I wish I could help you but the best advise would be from Harley Owners Group, You could try softening your front suspension that will help.

On heavy bikes I've always used Bridgestone Battlax but I don't know if they do a 21 inch.

    Good luck.

Ha` Ha everybody realised I was joking, why don't you stick to the original wooden wheels with steel rims that should be fitted as standard, they don't go fast enough to need anything better.

  5. Research AVON tires for your personal application and riding requirements.
