  1. it really depends on the company....most large companies will arrange work permits... however most small business may require that you have one already.

  3. i believe you can, however, be warned that it is difficult and a long process. my boss tried to get me a work permit that would extend my stay in ireland while i was there (i was already on a short work permit), and the wait was so prohibitive that we decided against it. it is also difficult if you are NOT from the EU....if you are in the us or canada, try usit or bunac for work permits....that's who i went through and it was very easy. good luck.
