Can I get an Indian Visa in London (UK) if I'm a Canadian Passport holder?

I have been told yesterday that I have to be in Chennai August 23 2008. I didn't know about this earlier, so I didn't apply for my visa. Plus, I'm leaving to London (UK) in 3 days (July 18, 2008) so I can't apply for my visa here since it won't be done within 3 days and I need my passport in order to fly.

So, is it possible for me to get my visa in London (UK) at the Indian Consulate holding a Canadian passport? Or will there be difficulties? Also, what may be the estimated processing time?

I'm:

21, University Student, Never flown to India or Asia before, my last trip was when I was 6 years old to London UK. Also I'm a Sri Lankan but born in Dubai, U.A.E. I do not hold dual citizenship or a Sri Lankan passport.

Thanks in Advance

  1. Yes, you should apply to one of the outsourcing companies in London that the Indian High Commission works with for visa applications. See link below.
