I am from Indonesia and would like to study abroad to Australia, New Zealand, or USA. My high school average is above 75% and my IELTS score is 7.5. I'd like to go to the university in July 2008. I prefer full or 50% scholarship.

  1. I had a roomate from Indonesia while at school.  Apparently you can get much of your abroad fees waved by participating in the "Corps of Cadets" at Texas A&M University in the USA.

Texas A&M is one of the largest Universities in the US with around 50,000 students.  It's a lot cheaper if you join the "Corps of Cadets" like me and my roomate did.  It's a civilian ROTC program that's supported by the military.  People wishing to join the military can join as officers once they graduate, but joining the military is far from manditory.  Of the 2,000 cadets, only a few hundred decide to join the military.

  2. I'm sure you would, but in general, only the very top students get scholarships.  I can't speak to Australia or New Zealand, but at every place I've seen in the U.S., only those with extremely high grades and test scores get scholarships, and that is doubly true of international students.  The only international students I know of who have scholarships (aside from one who is in our honors program) got them from their own governments.
