Question:

Can I get back in to shape after not running for two weeks?

I haven't ran since the end of track season, and I feel pathetic. Summer track starts in a week, and I know I cannot run the same as I did when track ended. What challenging, but effective workout can benefit me the most in my comeback to gaining my speed again. Thank you for your time and advice.

  1. of course you can.

two weeks is nothing, your body is still in good shape.

it just might take another two weeks to get back into it, but once you do, you'll be better than ever.

don't be afraid to push yourself and know that you've done it before, your body can still do it now.

    work hard! =)

  2. Can I get back in to shape after not running for two weeks?

idk can you?  why are you on yahoo asking us idiots when you can be outside kicking a$$ getting back to where you were

  3. One of the most inaccurate and uneducated things that people say is that you can get out of shape in such little time.

Scientific facts prove that the average human can go without excersice for up to 20 days without STARTING to get out of shape. So, you're all set. Don't worry.

A runner NEEDS at LEAST 10-14 days off between sports seasons so that their body can both physically and mentally recover.

  4. Totally! You so can! I was off for 4 weeks, and 2 weeks later, I was right back in it! :D
