Can I get back my info from my computer after everything was erased by an error? If so, how?

My computer contacted some spyware and it completely wiped it's memory. I have Norton 360 Backup but it was out dated at the time. Is there any other way I can get my work info back?

Spyware doesnt wipe memory.  Malware of some sort (virus, trojan, worm) has a chance of doing so.

Either way.  I take it that your information is NOT on the computer your typing from?  If this isnt the case, YOU need to stop using that computer or you are permanently deleting your information.

Next, your going to want to slave your drive to another computer and use a program like Fast File Recovery.  It will recover your information if it hasnt been written over.  It works great and has been used multiple time by me for investigations and helping users who deleted things by accident.

You can try to use winundelete but it isn't free, see link. there is always the chance you could restore the spyware also.
