Can I get braces if I'm pregnant?

I need braces and my boyfriend really wants me to get them.

It won't affect the baby will it?

I'm 3 1/2 weeks pregnant.

Kinda strange that you actually know that you are 3 1/2 week pregnant. Somehow I feel that you are nothing but a chronic liar that is trying to get friends. Just going on your other questions. You definitely need to get your self some help!!!

Yes, you can get braces while pregnant because there are no drugs administered during.  Your boyfriend really wants you to get them? Nice.

yes because of all of the x-rays they have to do,they will ask you first before they start if you are pregnant and if you tell them yes they wont work on you..sorry your gonna have to wait until after the baby is born_good luck

You will need to wait until after you are 12 weeks pregnant because of the x-rays you will have to get.  I had an emergency tooth problem (abscessed tooth that needed a root canal... I had to be on antibiotics for 2 weeks as well as pain medication), and they said not to go back for my cap until after I was 12 weeks because the baby is most susceptible during those first crucial weeks.

Make SURE the dentists knows you are pregnant before beginning anything.

3 1/2 weeks pregnant?  How is it possible that you know you are pregnant?

Anyways.  I don't think it will affect the baby.  As for the person saying you can't have x-rays, yes you can.  As long as you are wearing a lead apron.  I know this because I am an x-ray tech, and was even working while I was pregnant.  Dental x-rays are such a low dose of radiation anyways, and are directing straight to your teeth, not uterus.  :)

By reading your other questions, I'm concerned. You're 16, and keep asking questions about how awesome "juno" and "knocked up" are, and picking out baby names. Let alone, making up an 8 year old baby, and asking questions about sippy cups and teething rings.
