Can I get broadband in the ukl and not have a BT landline?

Question

want broadband but on such a tight budget dont want to be paying BT line rental if thats possible. Any advice?

well i work for virginmedia, and you can ger broadband without phoneline, we use cable to provide services, try www.virginmedia.co.uk

Unless you live in a cable or wireless area the answer is no, you will need a landline and only BT can get that for you. If you get a landline from BT they will probably stick you with a contract, however  once the contract is up, then you can go to other providers without interfering with your broadband.
