Can I get cable through my computer and connect to my TV for viewing?

I've heard you can get cable through your computer for a one time fee (no monthly service fee). My question is...Is it possible to subscribe to one of these computer cable sites and transmit the cable to my television via a wire connection or Apple TV or something of the sort?Also, can anyone point me in the right direction of one of these online computer cable providers?

Most of these internet based "cable" are "scams". You get some third-country programming that nobody really cares to watch.  Cable, satellite providers, and TV networks have invested way too much to allow "free" access.
