Question:

Can I get citizenship easily?

I've been offered a governess job in Australia, and I'm wanting to do that for 2 years until I can get citizenship/residency. I'm a New Zealander with a teaching degree. I've taught ESOL in Asia and would want to teach that again once I have citizenship/residency. Do you think this will work out for me?

  1. I can't imagine why a Kiwi would need Australian citizenship. Here in Australia you can have the best of both worlds. You can live and work here with automatic residency and unlimited access to everything that Aussies have access to - Medicare, Centerlink etc. and you don't need a visa to travel between the two countries - you only need a passport and even Aussies need one of those to re-enter Australia.

  2. yes but u need to past the australia citizenship but u need to live in australia for 1 year

  3. nope

  4. Yep definately.

  5. As a New Zealand citizen you have an automatic right to work in Aus you do not need citizenship/residency
