I've had glasses for about 2 years and still have a fairly mild prescription and was thinking about getting contacts. But I wasn't sure if you can get contacts filled with such a low prescription and slight astigmatism. Anyone know from experience? Below is my prescription:

OD -.50

OS plano -.50 90

  1. People with such a low prescription can usually clear up their eyesight by relearning to see(natural vision principles, not exe exercises) in less than a month. They also usually can get into telescopic vision(better than 20/20 eyesight, 20/15..20/10..20/5) and microscopic vision.

People who get artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, surgery) are at risk to increased blurry vision during stressful times and stronger and stronger prescriptions.

  2. Yes you can most contacts start at -.50 and they have some that are plano (which is 0.00). They also have some of astigmatism which you have.

  3. You can get contacts with those corrections.  Talk to your optometrist for evaluation and fitting.

  4. The correction for your left eye isn't available in contacts...( OS)..and the right eye isn't worth it.

Forget about contact lenses...you have no need for them at all.
