  1. First of all can I say that the DVLA have virtually nothing to do with MOT testing so calling them for a duplicate will not help. VOSA are the governing body in charge of MOT's so either call them on 0870 60 60 440 or go to any MOT garage with your V5C log book and you can get a duplicate (a charge of no more than £10 can be made for this).

  2. The duplicate will show the number the car had when it was tested. You'll need to keep the transfer paperwork safe to prove it refers to the same vehicle, although DVLA records will show the change if the police enquire into it.

  3. Yes, you should be able to. You will need any paper work relating to change  of reg plate. There will also probabley be a smallish  charge for a duplicat MOT.

  4. Go to your local garage with your car and your doc and they may be able to check and issue you a new one for a small fee.OR contact your local DVLA and they can issue you a duplicate. Try going onto the dvla website i am sure there is a way of sourcing a new one by putting a number of the front of your V5 reistration doc and that will tell you if the car has a current MOT and maybe able to issue you with one.
