Can I get financial aid still if I get married?

I do not have a job at the time but I am soon wanting to get married and my fiance and I was wandering if I was still eligible for financial aid??? And note that my fiance does not make that much money to pay for my schooling..thanks

  1. If you get married before you file the FAFSA for the year you are attending, then you will file it as married.  If you file the FAFSA before you get married you file it as single, your current disposition.  In either case you are going to qualify for some form of federal financial aid, be it grants or loans.  

    Just answer the questions honestly and you won't have to worry about the pesky 20k fine and possible imprisonment for lying like the other guy advises.  It gets in the way of the honeymoon.

  4. If your husband makes too much money, then you are over qualified.  There is a reason for this, if they give financial aid to everyone then there wouldn't be enough for people who really need it.
