When I search historical data on a stock, it only retrieves it for 3 months on one page. Is there any way to increase the limit to maybe a year or so?

  1. ya of course,,, go to yahoo website,,, select finance section from main page itself,,, select india(if its necessary to get indian stock exchanges information is required),, select the exchange you want to see,,, either bse or nse,,, then double click on the particular chart, then you will get options like of getting 1 day to upto 1 year's historical data,,,

to get the data about a particular stock then type the stock name as follows,,

    Ex:1- if its reliance stock

type reliance.bs to get the data of bse,

and type reliance.ns to get the data of nse,

there u can get historical data upto 1 year,,

in www.moneyconrol.com also you will get charts,,

visit the followin websites and try for getting the required data,,,

    www.nseindia.com

    www.indialivecharts.com(for present price level)

  2. There is a limit to how much data can be displayed in one page.  If using Yahoo finance, the default option is for daily prices.  If you change it to weekly or monthly you get a longer time span.  If you want daily you will have to retrieve it 3 months at a time.

Perhaps one of the sites others listed above works differently.  But I doubt that you can get a years worth of daily prices on one page from any site.

  3. not at all clear what you're asking for.

  4. I like using MSN Money http://moneycentral.msn.com/home.asp  or Yahoo Finance

    http://finance.yahoo.com/

But you can try Stock Charts http://stockcharts.com/ or Zacks Research http://www.zacks.com/

But keep in mind that's why God invented the cut & paste function

  5. sure ..you can do...

you can get upto 10 yrs as well......

you can go to sites like

    finance.yahoo.com

    cnbc.com...

    finance.google.com
