  1. No you won't get in HUGe trouble for downloading music off limewire.

However you must realize, that programs like limewire can be very risky, when you use it the wrong way.

I will tell you the best way to download music.

Limewire has a lot of fake files. Fake files will make you believe, that it is a song and wants you to download it. You should never download a fake file, because they are a virus and not a song.

How do you recognize those files that is important to know.

When you do a search for a song, you get a lot of files you can download.

You see then a lot of those very small files, You are 13 but clever enough to realize, that those files are too small to be a song. It is therefore very likely that those small files are the fake files.

When you start downloading files larger than 2500/3000kb you should be prity safe. I take it, that you have a anti virus program. Make sure

that it is up to date. You know that nothing is completely safe and when a virus slips through  your anti virus will take care for it.

  2. well illegal downloading is a crime,so if you get caught since you are a minor maybe your parents get a fine.BUT there are millions of peoples on the net constantly downloading music and movies of the net is to hard to control it I think that as long as you don't start selling pirated cd or dvd 's you will be fine but like i said is illegal so be aware.

By the way be careful limewire has a lot of virus you got to kown what you downloading.   so long!

  3. Yes. Absolutely. Not only will you damage your computer by infecting it with spyware, but your internet service provider (like Verizon, Net Zero, whatever you use) logs everything you download and so do the websites. If the government comes to them and they get in trouble, the first thing they do is cough up your information so you get in trouble.

If you want legal downloads for music try "imesh." It's 8 bucks a month for unlimited downloads, including entire albums. You can get a decoder that makes it so you can use those music files in any mp3 player. And, because you are downloading them legally, you can download as much as you want with no fear of reprisal. The only way you could get in trouble is if you started giving away the music you downloaded legally and ran through that decoder.

Also, to get the spyware off your PC, try a program like Spypot S&D which is a free download.

  4. No, nothing is going to happen. Don't worry. Law enforcement has more serious crimes to worry about than 13 year old girls stealing mp3 files.

But you should stop downloading music illegally now.

I don't think you will get into any trouble just for visiting that S****y website. That site is just made to scare people. Earlier that site hosted some P2P software but now it has been taken down and the message is just to threaten people.
