Can I get inside the country with the F2 visa in my passport but without a valid I20?

I have just gotten a F2 visa that expires in 5 years. Next year my spouse is going to a more expensive university and we ll need too much money to keep me in his I20. If he takes me out from his I20, since I have the visa in my passport, can I get inside this country?

You are only entitled to the F2 visa if you will be living full time with your student spouse in the US.  If he has changed schools and you will not live there any longer, but will only visit, your F2 visa is no longer valid and you must get an ordinary tourist (B1/B2) visa in order to visit him.
