  1. Hate to break it to you...but no, you won't get accepted to either school.

Both are top 25 in this country...a 4.0 is just below average for both schools, and a 27 is well below average.

Sorry but you won't be getting accepted.

However, you should consider a few other UC schools...perhaps UCLA and UC Irvine....

Wait...you competed internationally for ice skating? If Berkeley and Columba have some ice skating program, and they at least know who you are or you have had some contact with those schools...then you're a guarantee to get accepted

But I doubt Berkeley has something like that...

  2. I don't know, theres other factors to get in to U.C. Berk or Columbia, just with the undergrad admissions page on their website...it should tell you some information

U.C. Berk is hard to get in, but I don't know about Columbia (probably the same) but you need like perfect scores, by what I mean is if your weighted (out 5.0 gpa?) then a 4.8 gpa should be minimium, and you got to past your AP Test with a 5 (all your test 4 or 5 NO 3's and below) 27 on ACT is good, but try to get 34 or 35 or get 2250 on SAT's and community service and etc. These are minimum standards to like U.C. Berk (I live in California and my friend did all of that but still didn't got accepted)

-try to aim a little lower like I guess to your state university like ex. University of Colorado.... if you dont want to do any way to get better scores (its hard to get better scores even for everyone but I try to get into colleges that are POSSIBLE to get in)...

    Good Luck

  3. lookin about their average student. ull probly get in, what about SAT? ur ACT seems just a tad bit on the low side tho, if you can raise ur ACT and do good on SAT then ud have a pretty good chance of getting in, also instate and out of state have some to do with your admissions

  4. i believe a 4.0 gpa is now cosidered the "average gpa for these kinds of schools" that you named so there are many like u. u need to do really kick it up a notch it will also depend on your personal statement you have to stand out from the crowd.  try to get into other activities and organizations they like to see leadership skills also.
