Question:

Can I get into UIC with my current stats?

I really want to go to UIC but I don't think I can get in =(

My senior year is starting soon and I plan on trying my complete hardest (I kinda been slacking)

I have a 2.54 gpa

and 24 ACT

i'm retaking the ACT and i'm going to try really hard to raise my gpa.

Can I get in?!?

  1. I hate to say this but I don't think so. And it's even harder to get into the state school.

    Good luck though.


  2. UIC places more emphasis on GPA than ACT.  While you have an average ACT, your GPA is significantly below average.  I don't know if you would be accepted.

  3. i think you would have a better chance if you're really invested about getting into UCI by enrolling in a community college and transferring in. some community colleges have special agreements with the UC's that if you do well in some of their classes, you have guaranteed admission into the UC school system. That's what I'm doing to get into UCI's med program.  

  4. Check the Min GPA required for admission in your major, If it is less than or even close to u r GPA, u have chances if u have some good projects, few months of intern experience, good recommendation letters from professors...etc.

    If the min required GPA is more than your's then forget UIC.
