My GPA is 4.0 and have a few extra curriculars and clubs under my belt. Also, I wanted to know if UT looks at work experience. I have a job if that's the case.

  1. You should be able to get into UT.

  2. Definitely yes, if you showcase your materials the right way (write a good college application essay).

Considering UT is not a top-tier college, you don't have to worry that a 2150 is too low. It is in the top 5th percentile already. It will help enormously if you have won national awards like AP Scholar, Siemens/Intel, etc, but for UT it is definitely not mandatory.

  3. first off, UT is a bullshit school, if you wanna go there you got it, but you might try applying to some better schools. The only one in Texas worth a d**n is Rice

  4. you should also be applying to harvard, stanford, michigan boston and a few others, that is  a good resume from what you are saying.

  5. First off, if you attend any public high school in Texas and are ranked in the top 10% of your graduating class, you are automatically able to be accepted into any public college or university in Texas, provided you graduate high school and turn in your application on time.

Secondly, with SAT scores like that, a 4.0 gpa, work experience (very much smiled upon), and extracurriculars to boot, you don't have to worry about being accepted there B)
