I'm not going to get into it, but lots of things happened in 9th grade and I failed Algerbra one.... If I learn algerbra one by this online this math program I'm using,(which already I have learned almost the whole curriculum of Algerbra 1), is there a placement test I can take of some kind to get into a highschool Geometry test? Im gonna be in 10th grade next year and I had a 4.0 in middle school...

  1. If you failed the class in high school, you can't do anything else BUT take it during summer school again if you want to advance. And they don't care what your GPA was in middle school if you failed something. That's all I can say. The rules are for math is that you need a minimum "C" before advancing to the next level. I got a "D" in Algebra 2, and that wasn't enough to advance. I had already taken Geometry my freshman year, so I just didn't want to do math anymore since I didn't have to. My counselor then called me in saying she was worried that I wasn't taking a math course my junior year. Well: I passed Geometry my Freshman year with a "C"; passed Algebra 2 with a "D", but not high enough to go on to Pre-Cal. SO, I was lucky enough to get into an Algebra 1 class. Piece of cake. Loved it. Easy "A++" for me. Pick up on good study habits now, or it'll totally kill you when you reach your senior year if you keep failing classes.

  2. You can get into the class. Its easy , just walk in. Only trouble is, you can't take it for credit.
