Can I get into a club at midnight the evening BEFORE my 19th birhday?

I live in southeast Michigan, and 'round these parts it's sort of a rite of passage to head twenty minutes to the bridge on your 19th to go clubbing. My birthday is on a sunday, and if possible we'd like to go Saturday after midnight, but my friend was concerned we'd get turned away and waste the gas to drive there. Can anyone verify for sure that this would be okay?

I'd show them my I.D. and let them know that my birthday was the next day...But I'd call to ask if I did that would they let me in.

There's no reason you shouldn't be allowed. You are 19 on the first minute of the day you turn 19 ... not sure if you want to wait outside a club until 12:01 a.m.

Some bars have cops working inside. If you're denied, ask the doorman to double-check with a police officer -- they'll see things from a legal standpoint and give you the thumbs up.

Here in Oregon they will let you in at midnight.

Call the place you are planning on visiting.

I would think you'd be able to get in since the date had changed by that time.
