I have around a 3.4 GPA. I have taken a few honors classes, I've been on tennis for 3 years now, I'm in tons of extracurricular activities and am now beginning to volunteer about 8 hours/week. I'm out of state but I am a registered Cherokee American-indian. I got a 1050 on my SAT and a 23 on my ACT.. please help!!

  1. you are on the lower end of their SAT and ACT range.  But University of Arizona is not a hard school to get into.

    Here are some stats:

34% in top 10th of graduating class

62% in top quarter of graduating class

87% in top half of graduating class

24% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher

    19% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74

    18% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49

    17% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24

    18% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

    3% had h.s. GPA between 2.0 and 2.49

    1% had h.s. GPA between 1.0 and 1.99

  2. Your scores fall between the middle 50% range of first-year students and you sound like you're decently smart.

You should probably know that the University of Arizona's acceptance rate is 80%, so it's almost laughable how non-competitive it is (compared with other schools). I'd say you have a rather good chance of getting in. Just make sure you meet all their requirements and show them that you really want to go there!
