Can I get live Australian Rules Football scores sent to me by SMS?

Is there a service in Australia where you send an SMS to a certain number, and receive by SMS a current score of a particular Australian Rules Fooball game.

Yes you can; the official AFL website will send you live SMS scores, but only if you're with Telstra unfortunately.

I'm sure Optus, 3 etc will have similar services though. I'll have a look and post links below.

on telstra i know there is a thing called pocket news in there you can get sport scores, horoscopes, weather etc.

If you're on 3, you can purchase a 'sports pack', which allows you to check the scores of any sport, and read sports news. You pay $2 a month and get unlimited access. I'm not sure about other networks, but Telstra would have a Bigpond sports service.
