  1. It depends on the church, but most will allow it if you go through their pre-marriage councilling.  My wife and I were married in a Baptist Church and we were both attending an EV Free church at the time.  The Baptist Church even let us use our pastuer.  So it never hurts to ask.

  2. some will allow it because some of the churches are so beautiful you should call the church of choice and ask

  3. Most Protestant Faiths will take what they can get...no problem.  Just talk to (this week's) pastor.

  4. My first hubby and myself were Baptist (north) and couldn't even get married in the Baptist Church we attended!!!  Actually, there are so many different variables to the situation, that it really depends on yours.  In our situation, we wanted to have a reception with alcohol and a DJ and dancing, and since they don't believe in all that, we did not get married at our own church, but I do not have any regrets about it because we had an awesome wedding and reception and I wouldn't change it one bit!!!

  5. I would say probably not.  most churches, especially the gorgeous ones, require that you are a member for a certain amount of time.  Some churches may rent, so it is worth asking I think.

Good luck on your wedding.  I do invitations and all kinds of things if you need a cheaper quote on anything ;)

    Congrats and good luck!

  6. Yes. It seems out of all the Judeo-Christian faiths, Catholics and Jews are the most picky. I got married in a Catholic church and had to go to a retreat at a nunnery beforehad, which totally didn't work because I filed for divorce.

The Baptists should be fine with it. You may have to sit down with the preacher.

You could always pick a non-denomination church.

  7. if this is not your religion or you fiance's religion why do this??

seems a very strange question to me, unless you like the choir.

  8. I guess you will have to ask the pastor first and if he allows you to use the church then i don't see what the problem would be.
