  1. If you are his legal dependent and under age 21 (under 23 if in college), then you may qualify for some benefits. These could include commissary and BX privileges, base access, and basically anything you can get with a dependent ID card. If you are not his legal dependent, then you can get zero benefits.

  2. Your father, as retired military, will get benefits as long as he lives.

Your mother will be able to get benefits as a spouse of retired military as long as she lives.

Cildren don't get benefits except through their parents.

Friends don't get benefits at all.

Friends of children don't get benefits.

    Children's spouses don't get benefits.

The same is true for dependents of disabled veterans.

But people who get out after a few years don't get many benefits..GI Bill, VA-insured loans, some access to VA hospitals, but that's about it. Their dependents aren't eligible for any of that.

  3. Only if your adopted and only if your under 18 then his benefits will be according to his dependants. I dont know what kind of benefits your talking about though....... ther is no $$$ bennies that you would be entitled to or schooling.

  4. authorized dependents retain benefits until they are are 21( or 23 if a full time college student) but you must be an authorized dependent and live with the sponsor at least 51% of the time.
