Can I get more financial aid by going to college the same time my daughter goes?

my daughter is starting college in the Fall. I have thought about furthering my career with more education. she has applied for financial aid and got alot of help from them. wondering if I can also at this time get a good deal by us both going to college at the same time

  1. Yes, with two people in the family in college, financial aid eligibility increases.  Both students need to be attending at least half time.


  2. I think you'll get just as much help. Considering she had to report how much money her parents make, and she still got a good bit of aide, you should be able to get just as much.

  3. I agree with the previous poster. As an adult student, you should also be able to apply for special scholarships. My husband and I are both starting at the same university this Fall. They have about 6 scholarships for adults only. Make sure to ask the college you plan on attending what they have.
