I was working in WV for an Ambulance company as a driver, and they want me to take my EMT class, but they do a background check for that since it is a National Registry, and I would love to take it, but I am currently being charged with a felony and it is not drug related at all. I have avoided the last 2 classes but they are stressing for me to take it this go around.

  2. so i am taking it that it has not went through court yet..

call the instructor of the class and ask them.. depending on what it is, you can still become an emt.. of course it makes for more paperwork to fill out and more paperwork to get, but it is still possible..

  3. Being charged with something does not put it on your record; being convicted does.

You probably can take the class and not worry about it unless there is an all-points-bulletin out for your arrest--or an unanswered warrant?

Good luck, and I hope you pass with flying colors!
