Yes depending on the church though some don't do the service on sat or sun but others do you will have to ask your local vicar.

Do you attend church?  I presume not or you could ask the vicar.  I think you should attend church regularly first, a christening is about asking for God's help and guidance in bringing up baby, and welcoming baby into the church family, not just a naming ceremony.  Once you've found a church you like, and come to know the vicar, then you can ask them when you can hold the ceremony.  Your baby's life will be all the richer for it.
