Question:

Can I get my boarding pass at the gate?

So I'm taking two flights tomorrow and both are different airlines. I was able to get and print off my first airplane ticket from online but it won't let me do the second one (because I need special handling or some silly reason like that). Would it be possible just to have the attendant at the gate I need to board my second flight at to print my boarding pass off for me, or will I need to go to the main terminal and go through security all over again (which I really do not want to do!!)? Any answer is helpful. Thanks!

  1. tricky... i think that they should be able to print you your boarding pass there for you. but just to be sure you should call the airline to confirm if they will do it for you.

  2. if you are already past security, do not go back out--just go to the gate and they will give you bc there.

  3. I think you will need to goto main terminal

  4. If you can go directly to the gate without having to go through security, then the gate agent at your connecting flight can print your boarding pass.

If you have to go through security to get to your connecting flight, then you will need to go to the ticket counter to get your boarding pass before going through security.

  5. check at the gate first, before you go throught that big mess.

  6. I believe you'll have to go back to the main terminal and check in again. However, if your ticket was issued to you by the airline and part of your flight is just OPERATED by another airline, then you don't have to do anything. Just go to the next gate and board the plane. I'm a little confused why you would have two different airlines, this would be especially confusing if you checked luggage.

  7. What that probably means is that your second flight is overbooked.  Assuming they are not on codeshare airlines (in which case airline #1 should be able to print your pass at airport #1), you should be able to get one at the gate.  The only issue will be if in your middle airport, you have to exit security to move between gates, or if international travel and customs are involved.
