I was meant to get my daughters immunisations done at xmas time. But with Moving and christmas plans etc it slipped my mind. I want to get them done asap and I was wondering if it's safe to get them done while she has a cold or do I have to wait a few weeks?

  1. They usually want you to wait if the child has any sort of sickness.

  2. They always take their temperature if you tell them the child is off colour..if it is raised they wont do it..if its ok they will...my baby had a cold and they did it...best to get it over and done with.

  3. You should ask your doctor but typically a basic cold  is not usually enough reason to delay important immunizations. If she has a fever or more serious problem then just cough and sniffles then the shots should wait. Bottom line, I would recommend calling your pediatrician.

  4. Its good to wait untill children are better before taking them to have their immunisations done.....

Colds and immunisations cause children to be grumpy and irritable enough on there own let alone together....

A few more weeks wont hurt her at all..

  5. you can but the docs dont like to as can get quit ill from vac

    on its own

  6. Call the Dr's office because some vaccines are perfectly safe to give while a child has a cold but others aren't.  I know they wouldn't do my sons when he had a fever but did them 2 wks later when they knew he was doing better but then another time he had just a basic cold and they gave the shot no problem.
