Can I get my indian passport reissued in Oman while I am on visiting visa?

My Indian passport is nearing expiry .I have to travel to Muscat Oman ,urgently.Can I get the passport reissued at the Indian Embassy in Muscat ,Oman. I do not have time to have it reissued in India before leaving.

if you do not have at least 6 months left on your passport? i am almost positive, that you will not leave the country, one must have at least 6 months on a passport, some countries allow 3 months, but not many,

you may be very careful before purchasing a plane ticket,the airline will not let you on board,it is the law of many countries, and it is strictly applied.
