I was supposed to be in a wedding in about a month and now I may not be able to make it. I ordered my dress through a David's Bridal store. I know it says no exchanges or refunds, but does that still apply if the dress hasn't come in yet?

  1. No exchanges or refunds means exactly that, no exchanges, no refunds.  I used to work at David's Bridal, and sorry, they will not give you your money back simply because you have changed your mind.  Sorry, I'd pick up the dress, and if you're not going to be in the wedding, figure out another way to use it.  Sometimes a bridesmaids dress can be cut to a knee length dress, and that makes it much more versatile for more events.  Good luck!

  2. Is there another Pigarella going to fit in this gown? What happen, you out grew your dress? You no longer part of this wedding?

  3. David's bridal, nor any other bridal store will return or exchange your dress unless it is defective. Even if it hasn't come in yet. If you signed the contract and handed them the money, the deal is done. You can read more details on the back/bottom of the receipt. I almost guarentee there's a policy printed there stating that.

And as far as rude people (g a) calling you a pig, ignore him. He calls everyone a pig without understanding the situation. The reasons why you don't want the dress anymore is your business!

  4. This is straight from David's website:

"Returned merchandise must be in new condition. If you are returning a product listed below, please check to make sure your return meets the conditions described.

        * Dresses and Accessories - Must be in original condition - unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged - and must have the tags intact and still attached. If the product is defective, please provide a detailed explanation in the return package."

So as long as you haven't worn it, leave everything as is and you should be good. I would even go to the store to cancel the order altogether, and get a refund. Hope that helps!

  5. If it were me I would call the location where you ordered the dress. If they told you it would be in by a certain date and it is now past that date then they should give you a refund.

  6. Unless David's Bridal made an actual mistake, no, they will not give you your money back, just because you changed your mind, thus the "no returns or exchanges" policy.
